With the acceleration of life pace, convenient and quick frozen foods are gradually gaining consumer favor. From frozen dumplings to frozen pizzas, from seafood to meat, frozen foods meet consumers' diverse needs with their freshness, convenience, and variety. The market size of frozen foods continues to expand, showing a steady growth trend. The use of cold storage ensures the safety and quality of goods. Today, Fland brings you a look at a frozen food warehouse exceeding 600 cubic meters.
FROZEN FOOD WHOLESALE MARKET COLD STORAGE
The customer runs a wholesale business in frozen products and has maintained long-term cooperation with major brands such as Anjoy, Siand, and Haixin. Since 2023, they have successively built three cold storage facilities with us. As the customer's business scale continues to grow, they have renovated and rented a new site, requiring the construction of a new cold storage facility to meet daily inventory needs.
The previous cold storage facility provided good service experience, quick cooling, and excellent refrigeration effect, so they came back to us for a repurchase. The newly built cold storage is 16 meters long, 12 meters wide, and 3.2 meters high.
Project Address: Xinyang City, Shixi District, Henan Province
Project Scale: Over 600 cubic meters
Cold Storage Type:1 freezing warehouse
Temperature Range: -18℃ to 0 ℃
Stored Products: Hot pot balls, buns, dumplings, sausages, tangyuan, and other frozen goods.
ENCLOSURE SYSTEM
The cold storage room has a five-sided structure, with the main body made of 10 cm thick polyurethane double-sided color steel panels, filled with a density of 40 kg/m³, effectively reducing heat transfer, high strength, and good durability. The customer frequently moves large quantities of goods, so the cold storage room is used at a high frequency.
In addition to the traditional ground system consisting of 10 cm of extruded board plus a 10 cm cement floor, a 'grid' wire mesh is also laid down. This significantly enhances the overall stability of the cold storage room, preventing issues such as ground cracking and collapse, thereby improving safety. Additionally, the wire mesh increases the load-bearing capacity of the ground layer, ensuring that the cold storage can support the weight of forklifts, carts, and other handling equipment and goods.
Furthermore, since the cold storage exceeds 5 meters in length, the professional engineering team from FULAND designed 12 support columns inside the storage. These support columns use 100mm x 150mm channel steel, fixed with iron plates, greatly enhancing the safety of the cold storage room.
REFRIGERATION SYSTEM
The refrigeration system consists of two sets of 20P Fland turbine compressors and two sets of Fland top-exhaust cold air machines. This 'one-to-one' design provides better cooling effects and faster temperature reduction.
Fland's high-efficiency integrated cold source saves up to 35% more energy compared to traditional cold storage facilities. Fland uses a 100-step condensing pressure control for precise temperature regulation, ensuring stable internal temperatures while achieving energy savings.
Electrical Control System
In terms of the electrical control system, it features Fland's self-developed Cold Cloud management platform, which enables ECO energy-saving control, AI one-click health diagnosis, and full lifecycle management. Daily electricity consumption can also be viewed in real-time via the mobile backend, making energy savings visible!
Why Xinyang Chose Fland: Core Strategic Drivers
1. Location and Network Synergy
- Xinyang’s position in southern Henan necessitates connectivity to provincial highways (G107, G312) and proximity to Zhengzhou’s national logistics networks. Fland’s facility—situated near expressways and the Xinyang Port—cuts transport time by 40% while reducing temperature fluctuations during transit.
- The “nearby principle” (minimizing distance to clients) ensures rapid distribution across 12 surrounding counties, aligning with Henan’s “first/last mile” cold chain goals.
2. Precision Temperature Engineering
Fland’s multi-zone design accommodates diverse commodities:
-18°C to -23°C zones for meat/seafood (critical for bacterial suppression)
-30°C ultra-low zones for premium ice cream and aquatic specialties.
Real-time IoT sensors maintain ±0.5°C stability, preventing texture/nutrient degradation—a key concern for high-value products like Xinyang’s tea and fungi exports.
3. Energy Efficiency and Regulatory Compliance
- With cold storage consuming ~1% of China’s total electricity, Fland’s innovations reduce costs:
- Polyurethane sandwich panels(0.023 W/m·K thermal conductivity) lower heat leakage by 35%.
- AI-driven compressors adjust cooling based on occupancy, cutting energy use by 28%.
- Centralized wastewater treatment and 300m ammonia buffer zones exceed national hygiene standards (GB 50072-2021).
