In recent years, thanks to the continuous growth in demand for cold chain logistics and national policies supporting and guiding the cold chain logistics industry, China's cold storage capacity has maintained a steady growth trend. More and more hotel and catering ingredient storage and distribution cold storage facilities have been established. The cold storage construction case we are sharing today is a warehousing-type cold storage that integrates storage and distribution.
PROJECT SUMMARY
Fland's professional engineers designed a freezer room and a refrigeration room based on the customer's daily storage needs for meat, fruits, and vegetables. The cold storage dimensions are 14.3 meters long, 5.8 meters wide, and 2.5 meters high, totaling 207.35 cubic meters.
Due to the width of the cold storage exceeding 5 meters, considering safety factors, Fland's professional engineers added beams and columns inside the design to enhance structural stability. These beams and columns provide additional support, making the overall structure more robust and reducing the risk of deformation caused by internal and external pressures.
Project Address: Jiaowan District, Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province
Project Scale: Over 200 cubic meters
Cold Storage Types:1 freezer room, 1 refrigeration room
Temperature Zones:
Freezer Room: -18°C to 0°C
Refrigeration Room: 0°C to 10°C
Stored Goods: Frozen meat products, fruits, vegetables, and other ingredients, exclusively for the catering industry.
Insulation System:
Insulation Board: Uses 10 cm thick polyurethane core material, with a filling density of 40 kg ± 2 kg/m, providing a stronger structure and increasing the cold storage's load-bearing capacity and resistance to deformation. The floor consists of 10 cm of cement plus 10 cm of extruded board, totaling 20 cm. The extruded board prevents moisture and water, preventing cold loss. Given the need to store large quantities of goods, the cement floor has certain pressure resistance, and the extruded board also serves as a buffer and pressure distribution, extending the lifespan of the flooring system.
Cold Storage Doors: Two door openings were designed, one measuring 1.5m x 1.8m sliding door for easy entry and exit of carts and forklifts, and another 0.8m x 1.8m half-buried door for convenient use.
Cooling System:
The cooling system uses Fland's smart energy-saving units and aluminum-magnesium alloy cooling fans. The Fland cooling fans feature a 'small diameter dense' design, which increases surface area, enhances heat exchange efficiency, provides sufficient cooling power, and fully utilizes the entire system's cooling capability.
To ensure the quality of stored goods, air curtain machines were additionally installed to effectively prevent temperature and humidity fluctuations, providing a better preservation environment for the goods. They also isolate dust, smoke, odors, and microorganisms such as insects.
Electrical Control System:
In terms of electrical control, it is equipped with Fland's self-developed Cold Cloud management platform, featuring ECO energy-saving control, big data intelligent analysis, achieving a 30% energy-saving effect, AI one-click cold storage health diagnosis, detecting subtle changes, providing early warnings, remote troubleshooting and resolution, avoiding operation under faulty conditions, and responding more promptly and efficiently.
It is particularly suitable for the management and maintenance of cold storages in chain restaurants and supermarkets, effectively reducing maintenance costs and improving operational efficiency.
